Chinese Language Study

Intensive Oral Chinese Training Study Course

Our students will be exposed to some of the most unique cultural aspects of Old Beijing as well as modern Beijing, through our specially designed cultural activities below:

Beijing Roast Duck Dinner

Feast on an authentic Beijing Roast Duck dinner in Beijing! You will be able to exchange and share study experiences in Beijing with other program participants. (Vegetarian students will be served proper food as they prefer.)

Chinese Teahouse Tour

We will introduce you to China's exquisite tea culture in a tour to a first class teahouse in Beijing, where the environment will bring you thousands of years back into ancient Chinese history. Be audience to the famous tea serving ceremony as well as a traditional Chinese musical instrument performance; all the while enjoying the sensational aroma and taste of original Chinese tea.

Silk Market Shopping

Be guided by China Unipath staff to explore one of the most famous shopping areas in Beijing and find an amazing variety of Chinese style gifts for your family and friends. Practise your spoken Mandarin through bargaining with Chinese sellers and interacting with local people. China Unipath staff will be on hand to ensure you get your best bargain price possible!

Pan Jia Yuan Antique Market Shopping

China Unipath staff will accompany you to the most famous antique market in China where you can shop for goods of a variety that will trespass your imagination, ranging from genuine ancient personal artefacts and delicate inherited craftworks to refined Chinese paintings and graceful Chinese traditional costumes.

Our Services

We will provide you with comprehensive services covering all aspects of your study and travel experience in China to ensure you can make the most out of your one month!

Accommodation arrangements

A room will be arranged for you at the Conference Center Hotel located near your Mandarin training school (refer to accommodation for details).

Please note, accommodation is covered for the duration of your program only (for official start and end dates, refer to the schedule below). We are happy to make the necessary accommodation reservations for you if you wish to arrive earlier prior to program start and/or stay later after the program finishes. However, please be aware payment for these additional days of accommodation will be borne by program participants.

Living in China Information Guidance

All students will be given a copy of the China Unipath Student Handbook, which provides you with comprehensive orientation information guiding you through your study abroad experience. In addition to the handbook, a color map of Beijing in English and Pin Yin will show all-important bus and subway routes as well as places of interests to enrich your Chinese cultural experience. You will also be given an emergency message card with both English and Chinese instructions leading the taxi driver to your accommodation.

We will provide various Beijing city magazine publications showing you insiders' views of life in Beijing and the latest information on 'What's On!' in the city.

The above guidance materials will be mailed out via express post to you.

Airport pick-up and drop-off & Accommodation check-in and check-out

Be warmly greeted by China Unipath staff at the Beijing Capital Airport upon your arrival, which is especially important in a foreign city where you are unfamiliar with the spoken language and surroundings. Our staff will provide an introduction to Beijing geography, climate, culture, nightlife and Mandarin study. We will escort you to your hotel and provide check in assistance.

Upon the completion of your program, we will assist you when checking out of your hotel. We will also arrange necessary transportation and escort you to Beijing Capital Airport to assure your safety and punctuality of your departure from China.

Local area walk tour

We will accompany you on a walkthrough around your living and study area by China Unipath staff to help you settle in. We will introduce you to the classroom buildings, sports facilities, banks for currency exchange, ATMs that accept international credit/debit cards, recommended restaurants, supermarket, laundry, post office, hospital and the nearest subway station.

Orientation material package

We will provide the following items as a special orientation package for you:

A fully functional cell phone for your time abroad in China (click here to view picture). (Please note: A small deposit will be required. This amount will be refunded to you in full when the cell phone is returned to China Unipath in its original condition upon your program's completion.)
A China network sim card for use with your cell phone. This sim card will be able to answer international calls, and send and receive international SMS. (Please note: A small deposit will be required. This amount will be refunded to you in full when the sim card is returned to China Unipath in its original condition upon your program's completion.)

Special flight & train ticket discounts

Should you plan to do some extra travel in or out of China during or after your program, China Unipath can provide you with a comprehensive flight and train ticket purchasing service with competitive after-discount special rates. All you need to do is to tell us your itinerary and schedule and we will acquire a ticket that will help you minimize your travel budget.

24/7 on-call emergency service

China Unipath staff will be reachable to you 24 hours a day seven days a week through a simple phone call:

Medical emergency service (24/7)
Should you have a medical emergency, our staff will be reachable via cell phone 24/7 and escort you to a hospital providing necessary personal assistance and interpretation when you are visiting a doctor.

During your entire stay in Beijing, our staff is always ready to back you up to step over any frustrations you may have in daily life, from sending mail packages in a Chinese post office to finding the coolest nightspots in Beijing.

Accommodation

For One-Month Study & Travel Program students, accommodation will be arranged for you at the following hotel:

Conference Center Hotel

Introduction

The Conference Center Hotel is located in the heart of a university campus, in close proximity to the program's Mandarin training school, sports facilities, library and restaurants. There is a Chinese restaurant and Japanese sushi restaurant on the first floor and a western cafe on the second floor. Because of its convenience and living comfort, the Conference Center Hotel is always considered as one of the top hotel accommodations by most foreign students.

Your accommodation will be in the Single Standard Room.

Single Standard Rooms have the following facilities and services:

Important note

Please be aware that broadband Internet access for your laptop will incur a separate fee. Cost for monthly unlimited usage is approximately 19 USD. China Unipath will assist you in setting up your Internet access when you arrive in China, if required.

How to Pay

Instead of one full upfront payment of USD 3350, our One-Month Study & Travel Program will be divided into three payment stages for your peace of mind:

First payment - USD 850 Go to Pay page
An initial deposit will secure your place on the program. This is paid after you submit your application with us.
Second payment - USD 1200
China Unipath will contact you for the second payment two weeks before you are due to arrive in China.
Final payment - USD 1300
The final payment will be paid one week before you arrive in China. We will be in regular contact with you from the moment we receive your application and be available to answer any questions you have about your Study & Travel program to China.
